My life's 3 year problem.
I’ve been thinking all day about what it means to be in the world but not of the world. What a confusing phrase. God made the Earth, yet His son is saying not to be of it. Easier said than done.
For the past several years or so, I’ve been unknowingly drawing closer and identifying with things that God has made. Nature, or people, or my own personal health are all solid examples....
WatchThe dog you see is my mother in law’s dog. The dog you hear would be my whiner.

Me: Sup?
Mom: I had baked chicken„, and salad.
Me: Huh???
Mom: You said sup, i thought you meant supper
The apple doesn't fall from the tree.
There are many things within my personality that are just like my mom. I’m 5 years shy of having lived more years of my life without her than I did with her. I cling to these things aggressively, as if they die, the rest of her will too.
I worry about money. I stretch my right arm across the passenger seat when I must stop my car suddenly, shielding a loved one from impending doom. I...

Might I mention that I believe my clothes always smell like green peppers. It makes me frustrated to no end.
Goals, not resolves.
Highs and lows of 2010…
• I stood by one of my best friends as she got married to a wonderful man, and made some new friends in the process.
• I saw my family in Pennsylvania, and made new memories.
•I received and successfully trained a puppy… And she is just the best thing ever.
• I finished my first year of teaching… phew!
• We visited friends a couple of times in Waco.

Sara: Hey, doesn't Lindsey live close to you?
Me: Maybe a couple of blocks or so.
Jess: Wanna go walk to her house?
Sarah: We don't know exactly where it is though... And there's drunks out.
Me: Easy, it will be the house with all the lights on.
(meaning that I thought it would be the only house with lights on, as they would be the only ones up celebrating New Years.)
